Conflict Resolution

Conflict Resolution stresses the importance of recognizing signs of conflict, and its impact on individuals, groups and the organization. This seminar identifies causes of conflict in the workplace, and teaches participants to recognize stages of conflict to effectively deal with the situation, preserve relationships and set all involved back on the path of normal relations as soon as possible.

This workshop uses the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument to help people discover how the ways they handle conflict-their conflict styles- affect performance. The TKI self-assessment is the core of this workshop. Participants discover what their conflict-handling styles are. Participants are introduced to the five basic conflict-handling modes and through many interactive exercises, they learn how and when each mode is typically most appropriate.

Four key objectives are targeted:

  • Expanding self-awareness
  • Developing awareness of others
  • Assessing conflict situations
  • Learning and applying new skills

Topics Include:

  • Identify causes of conflict in the workplace
  • Recognize early warning signs to prevent escalation of the situation
  • Learn the appropriate method of conflict resolution
