Shackleton’s Way | Leading Teams in Challenging Times
Program Overview
In today’s topsy-turvy world, adversity has become an everyday part of organizational life. Is your team of leaders prepared? Have you given them the practical skills and tools that they need to work together “to overcome adversity and the steepest of odds”? This is the program that will prepare you to prepare them for leading through adversity—all through the dynamic prism of one of the greatest leaders of all-time, Sir Ernest Shackleton.
What is the Program Based Upon?
In the fall of 1914, Sir Ernest Shackleton led a crew of 27 men on the ship Endurance in a quest to become the first men to complete an 1800-mile crossing of the Antarctic on foot. The bold expedition failed, as the Endurance became trapped in polar ice. For the better part of two years – in frigid conditions and with little hope of survival – Shackleton kept his men together, motivated, and alive. In the end, against all odds, Shackleton got all of his men home safely.
